On November 17, we successfully held the official opening of the ROHU ENVIREG (ROHU00117) project at the Institute of Chemistry, University of Debrecen.
Identifying so-called non-conventional bioindicators—such as tree leaves, tree sap, and honey—is the aim of a project launched through the cooperation of the Politehnica University of Timișoara and the University of Debrecen. Researchers are examining how suitable these materials are for long-term monitoring of the condition of the urban environment in the two regions. A strategic action plan will also be developed, which may later be applied in routine analyses.
The collection of leaf and soil samples has begun in the field, along with their laboratory processing.
